I met Jean over twenty years ago when were both members of a local theatre group. I was in awe of her supreme acting and she was so very generous in giving me advice and encouragement with any role I played. We instantly clicked and became firm friends. Jean developed her writing skills and I was so pleased when she asked me to appear alongside her in her play 'Again and Again' for which she was to receive a Best New Script award. My very greatest admiration for Jean was when she appeared at the Edinburg Fringe Festival in the one woman play 'Voices'. She gave an absolutely phenomenal performance. Over the years we have had so many laughs, mainly due to Jean's impish sense of humour and her incredible wit. Her passing is far too early and I will greatly miss her love, warmth and fun.
