Jean Emily Donald was born at 9:20am on April 28 1950 at Chase Farm Hospital, Enfield, Middlesex. Early years were spent in Muswell Hill, North London with sister Gillian. By the mid sixties Jean had left home and was making her own way in life. She met her husband to be Martin, a musician in 1969 and it was love at first sight. They were both 19 and were married 3 years later on 18th March 1972 and have been together ever since. 

Jean very quickly discovered her love and passion for the performing arts and the theatre. Acting, singing, writing, directing and generally enjoying an actors life until the end. She never stopped studying her craft and learned at every available opportunity, even taking an 'A' level in theatre studies in the late 90's along with her LAMDA success. In fact she wrote a book about her experiences as a mature student which has yet to be published!

Daughter Annabelle Louise was born on 15th May 1981 and grandson Oliver David on the 17th February 2012. Throughout her life in the theatre, she also managed to run and maintain an amazingly stable home for Martin and Annabelle, organising the finances and providing constant love and support for both of them. She had an extraordinary empathy with everyone she met and will be missed beyond words.
